The subject for my text portrait is Zoe kravitz. i chose her because shes someone that i've always found to be extremely beautiful and influential and i felt compelled to try and capture her energy in this project. The words i used in my value scale were Beauty, model, feminine, girl, actress, and her first and last name. I stuck with words that were very simple and straight forward that also represent her presence well. Something i feel that i did really well on in this project was mapping my values. I spent a lot of time trying to get the "shading" just right so that it would look as realistic as i could make it. Something i struggled with was being patient throughout the process of writing in all the words. I like detail oriented drawings but i also am very impatient when it comes to doing such tedious repetitive things myself. overall i was really happy with the result and would say that this is probably my favorite project from the class overall.
